Job Description
Collier Youth Services is immediately seeking a full-time Benefits & Employee Relations Specialist.
Benefits administration
Participate in Open Enrollment process including assisting in the communication and presentation of Open Enrollment
Coordinate with broker to ensure they have all necessary employee information
Manage employee enrollment in all insurance plans
Act as point of contact for employees benefit questions
Provide ongoing support in benefit changes throughout the year and troubleshooting benefit issues
Review of monthly insurance bills for accuracy
Manage benefits onboarding of new hires into benefit plans
Manage benefits off boarding for terminated employees including COBRA administration
Leave and Accommodation administration
Act as point of contact for leave and accommodation requests
Secure all appropriate paperwork from the employee to process leave requests (including: medical documentation, FMLA paperwork, etc.)
Draft communications regarding eligibility and approval of leave
Coordinate with the employee on various disability and family leave benefits
Coordinate time out and payment processing with payroll
Coordinate with managers on viability of accommodation requests
Worker’s Compensation
Assisting and compiling incident report
Coordinate worker’s compensation claim through carrier
Acting as point of contact for employees regarding work related injuries
Payroll Coordination
Assist with PTO management
Point of contact between payroll and employees for pay related question
Legal
Ensure compliance with employment law and regulations
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR, talent management, and employment law. Communicate these changes to executive leadership and upper management.
Employee Relations
Act as point of contact for various employees issues including complaints, investigations, performance issues
Work with managers and employees on disciplinary process and documentation
Coordination on termination and off boarding (including voluntary resignations)
Handling general employee inquiries including verification letters and jury duty letters
Performance Management
Assisting performance review process including communication, sending out, and reviewing forms
Assist employees and managers in creating SMART goals
Miscellaneous
Assist in other various HR tasks and projects as requested
Education/Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience (Education or Not For Profit environment, a plus)
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or a related field
SHRM certified preferred
Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
