Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year

We are a leading CPA firm with 3 locations spanning the Baltimore area. In the past couple years we have also won several local awards- Top Places to Work For, #1 Accounting firm, Best of Accounting for Client Satisfaction. We're seeking a highly skilled Audit Associate to join our team in any of our locations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a public accounting firm. Prior experience in nonprofit, for-profit, and employee benefit plans highly desired.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations

Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax issues and provide solutions to clients

Assist clients in tax planning and compliance strategies

Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of tax returns

Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities

Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance to clients accordingly

Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax projects

Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge

Job Details

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Minimum of 1 year of experience in public accounting on the audit side.

Prior experience with nonprofit, for-profit, employee benefit plans, and etc preferred

CPA or in the process of obtaining CPA certification preferred

Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
