VDL Industries Gainesville LLC is company number 99 in the VDL Groep and the first manufacturing facility in the U.S. Operations are from a state-of-the-art, 150,000 square foot facility located in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The VDL Industries facility consists of the following work centers: laser cutting, metal forming, welding (MIG/TIG), electronic assembly/general assembly, sawing, drilling, shipping, storage opportunities, and Quality Control. VDL Industries utilizes a dedicated area for stainless steel welding and assembly operations.

Job Summary
The Press Brake (Punch Press) operator uses a press break to bend and shape metal sheets per work orders instructions and blueprint specifications.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Manufacturing experience required
3 year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred
Technical certification or accreditation is preferred
Blueprint reading required
Responsibilities
Operators a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
Measures and aligns materials to be used.
Inspects production, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specification.
Performs routine maintenance on the press brake
Maintains a clean work area.
All employees are responsible for reporting environmental risks or hazards in the workplace.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans, work instructions, and blueprints
Basic computer and math skills
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials
Physically able to operate the press brake.
