Job Summary:

Duties as a BMS Software Engineer include designing, developing, and releasing Battery Management System (BMS) software and controls applications for 48V and high-voltage lithium-ion battery systems. You must be knowledgeable in the development of software and controls, battery algorithms, functional safety, and CAN communications in addition to standard development tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Constructing the BMS's entire software design and system topology to provide precise battery pack monitoring, control, and protection.

Guarantee consistent cell performance and extend the life of the battery pack, algorithms for monitoring the voltage, temperature, and state of charge (SOC) of individual battery cells are designed and put into practice. Cell balancing techniques are also employed.

Creating algorithms to precisely determine the battery's remaining energy (SOE), state of charge (SOC), and state of health (SOH). This entails putting battery models into practice and taking internal resistance, voltage sag, and battery aging into account.

Creating communication interfaces to connect the charging infrastructure and vehicle control unit (VCU) to the BMS. This comprises data exchange protocols such as CAN bus.

Carrying out comprehensive testing and validation of the BMS design, including functional testing, performance testing, and safety testing, to ensure reliable operation and compliance with industry standards.
