We are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, hybrid position that allows for both remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing a wide range of high-level accounting activities including month-end procedures, cost accounting, and tax-related tasks. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take their career to the next level.

Responsibilities:

As our Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Review and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.

3. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

4. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

5. Coordinate and manage the annual audit process with external auditors.

6. Prepare and submit tax returns and maintain records for tax purposes.

7. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.

8. Collaborate with executive leadership to define financial strategy and planning.

9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.

3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.

4. Proven experience with month-end procedures, cost accounting, and tax-related tasks.

5. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software and databases is a must.

6. Exceptional leadership abilities, with experience in managing a team.

7. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

10. Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and in-office work.
