The Regional Sales Manager- Central has responsibility for executing regional sales strategies that align with the company sales strategy, goals and objectives. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for market growth and development within their region. He or she will work collaboratively to optimize both manufacturing rep and customer relationships, driving profitable growth for the company. He or she will provide leadership and oversight to the region including Account Managers and Field Sales to meet or exceed goals and targets and deliver a high-quality customer experience. This position reports to the Vice President of Revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Execute Sales Strategies: Executes sales strategies and methods that align with VP of Revenue and company strategy, goals and objectives to drive regional growth for both EDrive and Joyce/Dayton products. ● Business Development: Drives business development to identify and advance new large projects and customer opportunities.

Reporting and Data: Establishes and leverages data, metrics and reporting to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Customer Relationships: Builds and maintains customer relationships and a local presence including onsite customer and Manufacturing Rep visits as needed. Ensures service and quality standards are upheld and any issues are addressed and resolved timely.

Manufacturing Rep Leadership: Optimizes Manufacturing Reps in region through a collaborative approach to establish clear expectations for performance, communication, account planning, training, monitoring, and reporting. ● Sales Leadership and Team Development: Leads, manages, supports, and holds accountable Account Managers and Field Sales team within the region to create a high-performing team to meet goals and objectives and drive profitable growth for the company. This includes selection, training, goal setting, career development, and managing performance of the team.

Quote Oversight: Provides efficient oversight of all incoming customer quotes to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Regional Communication: Directs regional sales meetings and communications to share best practices, provide relevant updates and information, and to review sales goals, trends, and provide recognition.

Demonstrated Leadership: Leads by example and upholds the company's values.

Budget Oversight: Responsible for managing the assigned regional budget.

Sales Process Optimization: Works collaboratively with other Regional Sales Managers and central sales organization to continuously evaluate and improve the sales process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates closely with other departments, including engineering, finance, marketing, and operations to align strategies and drive coordinated efforts towards revenue goals.

Industry Knowledge: Stays up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new revenue opportunities and anticipate market shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in engineering, science or marketing required.

Minimum of 8 years of sales or business development experience required.

Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable revenue growth plans.

Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams, providing clear direction and encouragement, enabling team to thrive.

In-depth understanding of sales and marketing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Strong collaborative negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.

Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools and revenue forecasting models a plus.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Track record of establishing and sustaining relationships at all key levels to achieve desired results.

Ability to travel up to 25% within assigned region.
