A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LICENSED PSYCHIATRIST
As a licensed psychiatrist, you have a critical role within our organization. You are responsible for providing psychiatric services directly to the clients in the program. This position is responsible for maintaining the appropriate records and medical files as per state, federal and agency regulations. This includes ensuring that established procedures are followed and clinical standards that are set for the delivery of psychiatric services are met. Collaboration and coordination with both internal and external resources are crucial to successful client outcomes.
In support of their recovery, you also are responsible for psychiatric coordination which establishes a framework of action to enable the client to achieve specified goals. You will collaborate with medical staff, counselors, clients and significant others, and ongoing evaluation of medication, treatment progress and client needs.
You will complete psychiatric assessments, provide written reports on a timely basis, and provide follow-up visits where appropriate. You will prescribe psychotropic medications, where appropriate and follow-up on medication monitoring. Collaboratively, you participate in case conferences with clients and present cases at the multidisciplinary team meetings. You find it highly rewarding to help individuals who are struggling with substance abuse issues and opioid dependence to find hope in treatment!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CERTIFIED ALCOHOL DRUG COUNSELOR / CADC
Current active psychiatric license to practice
3+ years of relevant experience
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and with others
Valid driver's license
Bilingual skills would be a plus! Can you maintain professionalism at all times? Do you have a positive attitude? WORK SCHEDULE
Per diem hours are flexible during the period Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
