We are seeking a skilled Proposal Manager to join our Business Development team. The Proposal Manager will play a crucial role in our efforts to secure contracts and projects with the Federal government.

Position Summary:

The Proposal Manager will lead and coordinate the development of proposals in response to Federal government solicitations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet all requirements and present a persuasive message to potential clients. Please note that work done for this position is deadline-based, meaning that occasional flexible hours may be required to complete submissions on time. However, all extra hours work are eligible for reimbursement in the form of comp-time. AcisTek will not require overtime hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the proposal development process from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Review and analyze Federal government solicitations to identify new business opportunities. This involves identifying key solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance guidelines.

Serve as primary writer and editor for all proposals. Oversee the creation of proposal content, including executive summaries, technical approaches, past performance, resumes, and other relevant sections.

Manage cross-functional proposal teams, including subject matter experts from existing contracts, company leadership, and any other writers who may be assisting in proposal development.

Ensure all proposal sections are compliant with solicitation requirements and company standards in terms of content and format. Conduct thorough reviews to eliminate errors and inconsistencies.

Identify and mitigate potential risks in proposals, ensuring accurate representation of capabilities and experience.

Develop and maintain proposal schedules, tracking deadlines and milestones to ensure timely submission.

Collaborate with senior management to make informed bid/no-bid decisions based on potential risks and opportunities.

Maintain a repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices for future use.

Foster positive relationships with team members, subcontractors, and partners to facilitate collaboration on proposals.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in proposal management, implementing improvements as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical and/or business writing, preferably with Federal government contracts.

Strong understanding of Federal procurement regulations and solicitation processes.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in proposal management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
