Asbestos Abatement Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Asbestos Supervisor to join our team. As an Asbestos Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Your expertise in asbestos abatement will be crucial in maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Our company is new and the qualified candidate will be the 4 year qualifier for the company and be paid to obtain his/her contractors license. Previous current 40 hour supervisor license is a plus but not required. Will put successful candidate through necessary license courses to become qualifier. Bilingual a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, and supervise asbestos abatement projects from start to finish

- Conduct thorough inspections and develop appropriate removal strategies

- Prepare detailed work plans, including containment procedures and work schedules.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA guidelines

- Oversee the proper handling, removal, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials

- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to established timelines and budgets

Experience:

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in asbestos abatement

- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to asbestos management

- Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines for asbestos removal projects

- Proven track record of successfully supervising multiple projects simultaneously

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
