Mercury Plastics is seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual to work as a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical aptitude as well as the ability to assist with diagnosing and eliminating recurring machine faults and breakdowns as well as preventative measures to increase productivity.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Mechanical/Electrical Training Certification or equivalent work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

· 3 to 5 years’ experience working on industrial production equipment.

· Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

· Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

· Ability to read the input/output of electrical schematics with strong troubleshooting ability including knowledge of PLC’s

· Ability to work with various types of hand & power tools.

· Ability to operate a forklift truck.

Position Summary:

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Position Responsibilities:

· Perform all necessary repairs for the facility including mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment including support equipment repairs, building and grounds maintenance.

· Troubles shoot machine breakdowns and provide solutions for repair.

· Work positively with operations team to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing constraints.

· Assist with equipment installations and dismantling of machines as needed.

· Perform preventative maintenance on machining.

· Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

· Maintain organization and inventory of Maintenance Shop.

· Required to maintain building maintenance with routine inspections of lighting, filters, and vents.

· Maintains proper appearance of building by cleaning, painting and repairing including outside grounds keeping.

· Prepares the building for season changes.

· Complies with all Safety Best Practices and follows safety rules such as LOTO and other safety requirements.

· Follow department and company policies and procedures.
