HVAC Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:

- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance

- Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems

- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues

- Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects

- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or areas for improvement

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work

- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment

- Arrive at jobsite at scheduled time and location as dispatched

- Relocate from one jobsite to another jobsite as dispatched during the workday

- Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving jobsite

- Operate company vehicle as needed

- Follow instructions from supervisor and/or dispatcher and carry out in timely manner

- Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly

- Report problems with equipment to Service Dispatcher to expedite parts delivery

- Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on maintenance visits as directed

- Ability to work staggered schedule if required

- Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role

- Strong knowledge of property maintenance principles

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

- Ability to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Familiarity with air conditioning systems, equipment repair, and HVAC/R principles

- Experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Work from 28' extension ladder and 12' step ladder

- HVAC school certificate

- EPA certification

- Insurable driving record

- Demonstrate willingness to invest time in service training, seminars, and classes

Pay: $26.42 - $31.82 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
