Senior Java Bigdata Developer

OST is looking for a Java Bigdata Developer for a contract Hybrid role in Mississauga. This is a 3 days Hybrid role. Please let me know if you would be interested in this below role . If you are, please apply with a copy of your updated resume and contact details.

- Sr Java resource with experience in Java/J2EE, Hadoop, Scala, Hive, Impala, Kafka and Elastic to implement regulatory requirements;

- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases and operating systems;

- Experience developing high-performance multi-threaded applications;

- Good knowledge of design patterns and providing solutions to complex design issues, identify and fix code issues;

- Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket;

- Critically evaluate the current processing and recommend process efficiencies / enhancements;

- Work closely with Technology partners to ensure the Business requirements are met by the development

- 7+ years experience in implementing enterprise level Java Development projects with end to end cycles using a stack of related technologies. Strong technical knowledge & experience in Java/J2EE, Hadoop, Scala, Hive, Impala, Kafka and Elastic alongwith focus on data analysis, good to have Python.

- Must have experience with mainstream data analysis tools (Excel, Access etc)

- Strong written and oral communication skills & analytical skills
