Commercial Litigation Associate

Our Client

Is a Canadian-based international boutique law firm.

Responsibilities

Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes, and regulatory matters.

Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Provide strategic advice to clients on litigation risks and potential outcomes.

Assist with estate and trust work as needed, including probate litigation and estate administration.

Collaborate effectively with other members of the legal team and support staff.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the Ontario bar.

5-7 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably with a focus on business disputes.

Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategy.

Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Experience with estate and trust work is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
