Your new company

Our client is a mid-sized premier full service law firm with three locations in Canada. They are currently seeking a Corporate Law Clerk on a permanent, full-time basis to join their thriving practice in North York.

Your new role

As a Corporate Law Clerk, you will be working on 1:2 workshare with the Lawyers who sits in the state-of-the-art North York office. Your tasks will involve preparing corporate legal documents (including but not limited to: incorporations, amalgamations, acquisitions, reorganization, amendments), conducting corporate searches and minute book due diligence reviews, maintaining minute books and corporate files. Working closely with the lawyers, you will demonstrate your ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this position, the firm is seeking an experienced candidate with a minimum of 3 years of corporate clerking experience, and must have successfully obtained a Diploma from a recognized Ontario Law Clerk program. Rich experience in document preparation of annual minutes, annual returns, general compliance and corporate maintenance restructurings, reorganizations, incorporations, dissolutions, amalgamations and transactional work is also a must.
