Technical Writer

MoD is currently searching for a Technical Writer for a one year hybrid contract with one of our leading clients in Toronto. In this role you will create on-boarding and manuals for company products and training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that manuals describe safe practices

• Prepare operation manuals, maintenance manuals and user guides for products by researching technical documents, interviewing of technical resources

• Prepare presentations and delivers technical training courses to customers

• Detail changes using company Quality Management System procedures

• Design, develop and deliver courses for classroom, instructor-led, virtual and e-learning formats

• Perform Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

• Document operating procedures, troubleshooting strategies, preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for distributed systems

Key Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in preparing technical documentation and delivering technical training

• Degree or diploma in electrical engineering

• Technical training experience with complex systems and solutions

• Strong knowledge of electrical circuitry

• Strong professional writing skills

• Strong verbal communication
