ABOUT THE TEAM

As the JHB city team, our responsibility entails the activation, coordination, and execution of all Sand & ALX activities throughout South Africa.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Sand Technologies transitions to a blended learning model, combining online with in-person learning, we're looking for a Fellowship & Learner Experience Associate to help us build, nurture, and scale a thriving community. This role is crucial in creating transformative experiences and fostering strong relationships among the fellows enrolled in our training programs and The Room. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position will play a pivotal role in enhancing both the fellowship and learner communities, with a 70% focus on the former and 30% on the latter.

More specifically your role will include:

Fellowship Community Engagement: Drive high participation in self-reporting surveys among South African fellows to gauge employment outcomes and program impact, aiming for at least a 90% response rate.

Event Planning and Execution: Organize at least four in-person events per vertical/hub each month, aiming to maintain high engagement levels with a CSAT of 4/5 and an NPS of 80+ for all events.

Career Advancement Opportunities: Facilitate industry networking events or workshops and launch a mentorship program to enhance fellows' career prospects and professional development.

Learner Community Support: Support our learner community by developing and executing community-building strategies and creating engaging content and events.

REQUIREMENTS:

4+ years of professional experience in related fields such as project management, event coordination, or youth engagement.

Bachelor’s degree in any field with an excellent academic record.

Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and a strong customer service focus.

Proficiency in English; knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
