What you’ll do:

Lead the design of the High Voltage Battery production system, including line layout, manufacturing processes and automation, installation, and overall battery production ramp planning for a new manufacturing facility

Apply expert level knowledge of High Voltage Batteries and manufacturing process to collaborate and influence our multidisciplinary Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams in the development of a new High Voltage Battery for an eVTOL aircraft

Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with the product design team

Determine the requirements for automation, tools, stands, fixtures, etc.

Develop the manufacturing Build Plan (line layout, manufacturing methods, part flow, tools, equipment, precedence network, etc.) and determine an appropriate MBOM

Conduct process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA) for the Battery production system

Develop specification for tooling and automation equipment

Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for automated assembly processes

Oversee Final Acceptance Testing of manufacturing equipment

Support supply chain development and procurement

Create/approve work instructions for Battery assembly and installation

Support first unit builds and testing of the production system

Own upgrades and continuous improvement projects

What you need:

7+ years work experience and B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

Demonstrated hands-on assembly of complex Battery systems at high rates

Demonstrated experience in statistical process control and GD&T

Experience developing production lines from prototype to mass production

Strong organizational skills

Experience with CAD, PLM, MES, and ERP software

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience with high voltage systems: cars, aircraft, etc.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $134,400 - $168,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
