Position Summary

Tacten is currently recruiting for IRATA Rope Access Pipefitters to support our client sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas.This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a growing division within Tacten. Do you have experience working as a Pipefitter and are certified in rope access or interested in becoming certified? If so, apply today!

Long term maintenance and project work available

Project work will run from May 13th to July 11th at Nova Chem in Joffre

Candidates must be local to Edmonton or surrounding area for maintenance positions

LOA provided for project work

IRATA training provided

Responsibilities

Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders

Be conversant with relevant work techniques

Have a comprehensive knowledge of the pipefitting trade

Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of Level I

Assist other technicians as required

Ensure operational safety of all equipment

Requirements

Position Requirements

Journeyman Pipefitting Certification Required

IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.

Safety Certifications

CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO

CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)

ESC Fall Protection an asset

Exceptional safety and quality awareness

Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively

Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level

Valid driver's license

Clean driver's abstract

Effective communication in English
