Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive tax advice on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.

2. Review and negotiate tax provisions in merger and acquisition agreements, and work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

3. Coordinate with tax professionals in other areas of the business to ensure consistent application of tax policies and procedures.

4. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide clear, concise, and practical advice.

5. Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks.

6. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their potential impact on the company.

7. Represent the company in tax audits and disputes, and liaise with tax authorities as necessary.

8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. Admission to practice law in at least one state.

3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax law.

4. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
