Job Description
The Bookkeeper/Accountant at ROSCCO will supervise financial data and compliance by managing
accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, as well as handling daily financial entries and
reconciliations. Routine accounting responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, general ledger
entries, and the documentation of payments and adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Previous booking experience preferred
Understanding accounting best practices
Data entry skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Produce work with a high level of accuracy
Professionalism and organization skills
Knowledge of QuickBooks and non-profit Organization accounting.
Responsibilities:
Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure
legal requirements compliance.
Balances accounts by reconciling entries.
Maintains general ledger by account summaries.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; and reconciling entries.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and
trends.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing
adherence to requirements; filing reports; and advising management on needed actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
Bank Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Financial Reporting /Varies Programs. / Quarterly Reports
Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
Assist the Executive Director with the preparation of the Annual Budget or any other Financials
issues.
Generate and review monthly reports.
Assist with preparation for annual audits.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information
confidential.
Collaborate with program coordinators and Deputy director to ensure timely and accurate
program budget requirements are submitted for each grant.
Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
Supervision:
The bookkeeping/Accountant will be under the supervision of the Executive Director and Deputy
Director. Regular meetings will be conducted to discuss reports any proposed changes, and
address any issues related to Financial Reporting.
The bookkeeping position is a full-time position.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
