CPH has an opening in our San Juan, PR office location for the following position:

Civil Engineer (E.I.T.) with an interest in design and permitting, Land Development, utilities and infrastructure projects with minimum 1 years of experience.

Hiring Bonus of up to $1,000 for selected candidate!

Duties Include

Working under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents.

Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.

Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.

Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.

Periodic travel to perform site investigations, and construction observation.

Preparation of specifications, shop drawing review, field observations, preparation of inspection reports and other construction administration tasks.

Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.

Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.

Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.

Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control.

Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Management of clients and national account programs.

Requirements

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

Experience in design and permitting of Land Development or Utility projects in Puerto Rico.

Experience in design and management of small to large-scale projects, and maintaining project schedule & budget is a plus. Willing to work as a team and have strong organization and communication skills.

Experience in design or drafting of land development projects including stormwater design, site plan layout, water/sewer service design, permitting, and cost estimating is a plus.

Experience in preparation of design plans, specifications, and reports for a variety of water/wastewater projects which may include transmission, distribution, collection, pumping systems, treatment, storage, utility master planning, permitting, hydraulic modeling, and various engineering tasks is strongly preferred.

Previous project management experience including schedule tracking, budget preparations, and client coordination is a plus.

Highly Proficient with AutoCad, knowledge and experience with Civil 3D is preferred.

In addition, candidate shall have strong written and communication skills.

Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
