JCCS Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors is looking for a motivated professional to join their Client Advisory Services team.

CAS Services

At JCCS, we understand the crucial role accurate financial data plays in driving business decisions. That's why we customize our accounting services to match the specific personal or business goals of each client, including handling of the back-end accounting tasks through providing fractional CFO support. We leverage accounting technology to ensure efficient and accurate service delivery to our clients. Our CAS team draws on our extensive expertise to keep clients informed and empowered.

Position Summary

This listing is for the Team Lead position in the CAS service line covering both the Helena and Bozeman offices. The applicant could have either location as their primary office and would travel to the other location on a fixed schedule yet to be determined.

The Team Lead is responsible for efficient operation of all service line directives and for providing leadership and mentoring to service line personnel. They assist the Service Line Directors with executing firm and service line strategies as well as reviewing and monitoring the financial performance outcomes of the service line. The Team Lead helps implement policies, procedures, and processes in their office location(s). They assist with interviewing and provide input for personnel hired into their service line. The Team Lead will work with the Service Line Director on firm-wide workflow strategies and implement training programs for staff. The Team Lead is technically competent and an expert in one or more specialties. The Team Lead will delegate, supervise, and review the work of staff. The Team Lead will have a responsibility in leading the practice development initiatives within their office that bring in new clients and provide additional services to existing clients.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Direct Supervision of service line staff in both offices

Implements policies and procedures at the direction of the service line director.

Supports the strategic goals and objectives of the firm and the service line.

Uses technical competence and expertise to help train and mentor the service line.

Oversees preparation of complex payroll and accounting services.

Oversees review of final quarterly and annual reports.

Respond to client and team member requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.

Manage clients and engagements by providing proactive client management and planning along with leadership and accountability for engagements, ensuring high quality of delivery and satisfied clients.

Sets-up and trains clients on financial accounting systems and software. He or she is experienced in training, delegating, supervising and reviewing the work of other staff. Fully leverage technology in all aspects of your daily work.

Perform and manage all tasks related to the accounting process of clients, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial results

Responsible for leading marketing activities that bring in his/her own clients and participates in promoting new Firm services.

Provides back-up for other accounting staff as needed.

Performs other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned.

To Qualify:

Completion of a degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.

Prior team leadership experience preferred.

Applicants must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online.

Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

Six (6) years of accounting experience

Six (6) years of payroll processing experience

Four (4) years of financial statement preparation, preferred.

QB Desktop Pro Advisor/Advanced, QBO Pro Advisor, QB Online Advanced, or QB Enterprise certification preferred.
