GMs are responsible for monitoring & overseeing the activities of its employees. They work to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the business while navigating challenges such as market fluctuations, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability. relationships with farmers, suppliers, customers, government agencies, financial institutions, and community organizations, to promote the success and sustainability of the agricultural business

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan

● Market through various channels and segment databases working with large data sets

● Prepare Business development proposals and detailed road maps for FPOs.

● Develop the value chain on identified crops for FPOs.

● Develop crop wise backward and forward Market linkages

● Guide FPO team and Farmers on post-harvest management of identified crop

● Develop market linkages between FPOs and private players.

● internal linkages between FPO to FPO

● Carry out market & commodity analysis, Feasibility mapping to ensure better returns to Farmers

● Any other work assigned time to time by the Organisation

● Promote sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of agricultural operations. This may include implementing conservation practices, adopting organic farming methods, reducing water and energy usage, and enhancing biodiversity on the farm.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATION: -

MBA in Agribusiness Management or Equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute.

EXPERIENCE:

Preferably 12+ years of relevant experience in Agri. Marketing/ Value chain development including Post harvest management and working with FPOs/ Large scale farmers groups etc, regeneration Agriculture.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

1. Fluency in both oral and written communication in English & Local Language

2. Good knowledge of Email, Excel, Word & PowerPoint

3. Experience in Agriculture, Marketing, Farmer Producer Organization, Capacity Building & Training

4. Marketing skills

The position reports to MD/Co-Founder in Kolkata and 4-5 team members will report to this position.

Candidates must be open to travel extensively in the field in the Eastern Region, Western Region and Kolkata as necessary

Annual CTC- Up to 9Lacs

(Compensation package will be in line with qualification, experience and last salary drawn)
