Electronic Data Interchange Analyst

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for leading the EDI teams

Communicating with EDI Stakeholders. Able to define the goals for the team members and track it for better focus to get outcome from the team

Able to conduct performance reviews to the team members based on the performance from them throughout the year and feedback from other stakeholders.

Able to guide and mentor the team members for better performance

Able to define the learning path for the team and track it effectively

Become an expert in our EDI translation software, and the areas of the application that are affected by EDI transactions

Configure communications and test connectivity with VAN’s to ensure our software can pick up and send EDI transactions

Learn how to utilize Trading partner portals (SPS Commerce, Commerce hub, DSCO, Vendor Central,) in order to be able to complete testing processes required by retailers.

Gather requirements from clients and their trading partners they wish to conduct business with

Train clients on the software

Conduct thorough testing of our software and how it communicates with its Customers and Vendors from A to Z to ensure our clients can get approval from their customers and vendors to go live on our software

Manage timelines and customer expectations for new trading partner projects

Create quotes for new trading partner setups

Communicate with internal teams and clients on the status of their projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must have atleast 3 years of experience in leading minimum 4 members in a team, would be great if the person was leading in EDI Team

Must have experience in doing performance reviews for the team and defining goals and meticulously tracking it for improvements.

Must understand the basic segments of an EDI document and the common use of that segment

Understanding EDI process flow and coordinating EDI connection setups and migrations among multiple parties

Familiar with various connection/setup options with popular trading partners and/or their 3rd-party platforms like SPS-Commerce, DSCO, Commerce-HUB, Amazon Vendor Central

Experience in setting up connections to VAN’s (Value added Networks), such as Open Text, Inovis, Intertrade

Experience in the setup of new EDI trading partnerships with Retailers like Amazon, Zappos, Macys, Nordstrom, Hudson Bay, etc.

Troubleshooting any file transmission failure when needed.

Experienced in EDI standard knowledge including X12, EDIFACT and more

Knowledge of programming languages including XML, CSV

Analyzing EDI specs/raw data in conjunction of supply chain knowledge, then developing and maintaining EDI maps accordingly

Organizing and conducting EDI map testing internally and externally among clients, EDI trading partners/3PLs and Aptean ERP teams

Providing resolutions to EDI compliance errors.

Experience in working with EDI translation Software

Experienced in looking at EDI data in its raw form

Experience with Open Text online Catalog, Inovis Catalog, or Intertrade Catalog

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in working with the following EDI transaction sets, 840, 843, 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 835, 812, 846, 860, 857, 940, 943, 944, 945, 947, 894, 895, 865, 864, 861, 862, 867, 869, 875, 876, 879, 880, 888, 754, and 180 EDI documents.

Experience in Electronic communication protocols such as FTP and SFTP

Ability to communicate clearly with clients

The ability to write clear and detailed emails to customers

Great organizational skills

Great follow up skills
