Job Description

Tech/ Laborer

A Tech/Laborer performs general maintenance duties and assist others in mechanical and general industry duties. They can build or repair fixtures used in buildings and use woodworking machines, general hand tools and power tools to complete the job. They should be able to read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions and similar directions. Techs/ Laborers also operate forklifts, boom lifts and similar equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS:

· Unload, carry and stack materials and place tools and equipment in position.

· Manage trash and recycling duties throughout the property.

· Clean for general maintenance.

· Operate forklifts, boom lifts and similar equipment.

· Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed.

· Perform building infrastructure inspections and maintenance routines.

· Build or repair wooden fixtures used in buildings.

· Select and order required materials.

· Assemble and fasten materials to make a framework.

· Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions and similar directions.

· Work with and remove hazardous material.

· Perform minor plumbing, welding, and concrete-mixing work.

· Other manual duties as directed.

· String working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific orientation.

· Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.

· Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.

· Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.

· Able to work independently or in a team environment.

Requirements:

· High school diploma

· Experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.

· Experience in working with the public and interacting with clients.
