We are in search of a diligent Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role involves managing the daily operations of the payroll department, overseeing employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the payroll department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing.

• Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.

• Develop and maintain payroll and benefit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

• Stay updated with changes in local, state, and federal wage and hour laws, and ensure company compliance.

• Oversee garnishments, deductions, and other payroll-related items in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of payroll systems, including Lawon/Infor, to maintain data integrity and accuracy.

• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations and enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and Finance, to ensure accurate reporting and integration of payroll data.

• Provide leadership and guidance to payroll staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks through effective controls.• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems including ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and About Time

• Experience in Data Processing and Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Auditing, Benefit Functions, and Compliance

• Expertise in various Payroll systems such as ADP - Payroll, Automated Payroll, Benefits Payroll, bi-Monthly Payroll, Canadian Payroll, Ceridian Payroll System, and Certified Payroll

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is highly desirable

• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll, HR Payroll System, HRIS Payroll System, Independent Systems - Payroll, International Payroll, and Knit Payroll

• Familiarity with Local Payroll Tax, Multi-state Payroll, Multistate Payroll, Paychex Payroll, and different types of Payroll

• Knowledge of Payroll Compliance Professional, Payroll Functions, Payroll Law, Payroll Management, Payroll Services - Banking, Payroll software, Payroll Tax Deposits, Payroll Tax Reporting, Payroll Tax Returns, and Payroll Taxes

• Experience in Payroll Transaction, Payroll Vendor, Process Bi-weekly Payroll, Process Biweekly Payroll, Process Payroll, Reconcile Payroll, Reconcile Payroll Prior, SAP HR Payroll, semi-Monthly Payrolls, Special Payroll Deductions, Tax - Payroll, Weekly Payroll, Workday Payroll, Year-end Payroll

• Familiarity with various Benefits such as Accident Benefits, Benefits Administration, Benefits Analysis, Benefits Coordination, Benefits Design, Compensation & Benefits, Competitive Benefits, Competitive Benefits Package, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Employee Benefits - ERISA, EOB - Explanation of Benefits, Fringe Benefits, Insurance Benefits, Medical Benefits, Outstanding Benefits, Retirement Benefits, Verify Benefits, Verify Insurance Benefits, Veterans Benefits, Vision Benefits, Welfare Benefits

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas, Excel VBA, Excelsius, Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Lawson, Lawson HRIS.

• Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is desirable

• Previous experience in a similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry
