Support Staff - Position - Hall Monitor Job Number Start Date Open Date Closing Date Under the direction of school-based administration, assists in maintaining a safe school environment by monitoring student activity in halls, building interior and exterior premises.

This posting is for employees who will remain in their current job title but wish to transfer to another school location.

This includes voluntary transfers, surplus employees, and employees at closing school locations.

Employees who would like to transition into this job title from another job title may only be considered if there are no existing surplus employees in need of placement.

Essential Functions * Monitors student activities on school premises.

* Alerts school police and school administrative staff to potential disruptions or incidents.

* Participates in student take-in and dismissals.

* Monitors activity in the cafeteria during lunch periods.

* Monitors hallways while classes are in session.

* Submits verbal and written reports as required.

Maximum Salary 18.50 Minimum Salary 16.84 Desired Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Must authorize release of prior employment, credit history, and criminal conviction information * Good oral and written communication skills * Must pass drug test, background record investigation and federal, state and local fingerprint checks * Ability to communicate effectively with school personnel and students * Ability to effectively interact with school personnel and students * Ability to respond to emergency situation while maintaining composure and demonstrating appropriate professionalism and restraint at all times * Ability to climb stairs, stand and walk for long periods of time Full time or Part time Full time Additional Details Qualified candidates for the above position must submit the following: * Completed online application * Resume that clearly demonstrates the above minimum qualifications.
