ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manages various programs in support of Owens & Minor. Conducts research via telephone and the Internet to identify available sources including qualified minority suppliers. Projecting future needs for the business and regularly communicates opportunities, changes, and updates to the field.

Manages records and record creation reflecting assignment of PC’s & software titles. Reduce risk by retaining the required documentation for ITAM, Audit, Tax and Finance teams for cost analysis.

Oversees incoming requests for workstation software to identify functional requirements. Research availability and/or explores options for requested software. Validates software compatibility with current operating environment. Procures approved software per procedure.

Leads manufacturers, resellers, and internal teams in reviewing current and new technology. Collaborate with DeskSide Support to streamline and improve processes from order through end-user delivery.

Ensures tickets are generated to DeskSide Support for hardware and software needs. Ensures validity of data holding tools.

Conducts and schedules supplier review meetings with business user participation. Monitors and tracks supplier service levels and field compliance with negotiated agreements. Tracks and reports savings from established programs.

Leads the process in identifying new savings opportunities.

Evaluates and issues requests for quote and/or proposal. Consolidate and analyzes response information while offering recommendations to internal customers.

Negotiates, implements and supports regional or national agreements as appropriate. Verifies eligibility for new and replacement PC’s. Generates quotes and secure required approval. Issue and track purchase orders using procurement software. Provide required documentation to ITAM, Compliance, Governance, Legal and Finance.

Manages the purchasing process which includes business justification, negotiating quotes from vendors, processing purchases, and documenting contract requisitions in the ITAM tools.

Supports ITAM team in preparing and recording disposal information associated with the ITAM process for data holding hardware devices.
