Operations Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Malibu Store

Comp: $21-$23/hr

Status: Full-Time

Position Summary: Right hand to the Operations Manager. Supervises merchandise handling process. Supervises and provides training for the daily activities of all stock associates in partnership with the Operations Manager. Maintains an organized stockroom. Oversees replenishment process and provides leadership team with feedback regarding staff performance and inventory need to know. Manages shipping and receiving of in store merchandise and communicates with Warehouse and HQ teams. Point person for back-of-house matters when Operations Manager is unavailable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensures execution of all shipment receiving and processing procedures.

Ensures adept product is neatly organized and placed in stock room.

Performs audit and transfers of damaged and defective merchandise, complete re-tickets and phone orders.

Tracks productivity and ensures that the team is meeting the standards and efficiency set by upper management.

Ensures all delivery information is recorded and accurately reported.

Communicates daily goals and priorities to support associates, redirects activities as necessary to achieve results.

Manages shipment supplies and fixtures and communicates needs to the leadership team.

Ensures stockroom is neat, clean, and organized.

Influences employees to support an operationally efficient and effective process driven environment.

Special Projects/Tasks:

Participates and assist in Physical Inventories as required by the business.

Assist Merchandising team during visual initiatives, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

6 Months+ in a customer facing role.

1 year+ in a retail environment.

1 year+ in an apparel operations role.

Skills/Abilities:

Thorough communication with customers, peers and Direct-Report(s)

Efficient time management skills.

Effective multi-tasker

Ability to manage/oversee multiple projects at once

Standing/Walking for prolonged periods of

Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds

Bending, twisting as well as climbing of ladders/stepstools and other physical tasks related to standard retail operations
