Assistant Controller

The Richmond Group USA (TRG) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional to join this Richmond, VA team as their next Assistant Controller . This full-time position will collaborate directly with the Controller and be involved with all aspects of the firm’s finances.

Responsibilities: Prepare financial statements and reports.

Process payroll and maintain records.

Assist with the general ledger and support accounts payable and receivable.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial transactions.

Contribute to budgeting and forecasting.

Coordinate annual audit processes.

Support tax filings and ensure compliance.

Develop and implement internal controls.

Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior accounting or finance role required; experience in professional services, public and/or managerial accounting, and/or legal industry is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; a CPA license is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
