Director of Quality

Exclusive. Profitable and expanding SBU with long term customer base. Parent company is growing organically and through acquisitions; expectations are to double revenues over next 3 years. SBU is a strategic component of the growth plan and due to existing contracts, improved processes, and business development, expectations are to grow at 10-12% annually. SBU is AS9100 certified.

OPPORTUNITY: Report to SBU President and be a contributor with leadership on strategy and best practices. Looking for a hands-on Quality Director to lead 15 in quality. Partner across total business and with customers and vendors. Enhance and maintain Quality Management System and processes. Lead internal/external audit activities to ensure certifications and customer/supplier audit criteria are satisfied. Be part of leadership team on due diligence and integration of acquisitions.

Establish and measure quality metrics.

Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives.

Lead root-cause analysis; identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.

Develop and implement business strategies with annual objective goals to meet financial, customer, process and organizational targets.

Mentor and develop direct reports; provide quality training.

REQUIREMENTS: BS required; MBA or ASQ certification a plus. Seek 8+ years of business experience that includes quality management and leadership of engineers and inspectors within an electronics or electrical controls manufacturer. Must have had certification or recertification experience within IS09001 and/or AS9100 setting. Local candidates only.

SALARY: $140,000 to $170,000 DOE plus 10% bonus
