Mechanical Systems Designer

Required Skills and Experience *

· B.S. in Engineering

· 5+ years of experience in design engineering.

· Knowledge and experience with vehicle mechanical systems, machine design or structural design.

· Experience with CATIA V5/6 or 3DX

· Working knowledge of GD&T

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

· Experience with pneumatics, hydraulic, fuel system, flight controls, landing gears, actuation systems or similar kinematics mechanism.

· Experience with prototype, development, experimental, and/or innovative products.

· Hands-on experience with equipment assembly, fabrication, and installation.

Insight Global is looking for a a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join one of the leading commercial space companies onsite in Tustin, Ca. As a mechanical systems designer, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing engineering definitions and technical drawings for mechanical system components and assemblies. You will work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with talented engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.

Daily responsibilities are:

· Develop 3D models, schematics, and engineering definitions for parts, assemblies, and installations.

· Set design tolerances for system components and assemblies.

· Participate in the review, approval, and release process of engineering definition.

· Ensure compliance with design requirements and company processes.
