Lead Electrical Design Engineer – OEM outside MI

We are helping our client to find a top notch Lead Electrical Design Engineer to focus on Electrical Design.

About the Position

You will provide technical expertise and leadership to develop electrical system designs. Your technical expertise will help mentor Electrical Engineers, supervise product validation testing, drive root cause for quality and reliability issues, DFMEA and tolerance studies.

You own your work with passion, and work well on cross-functional teams, lending your team insight and support to achieve a common goal – superior products, repeatedly.

You Have

BSEE

Ability to lead a team

Solid product development experience

Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills

Must be tenacious with quality and customer service orientation

CAN/LIN, MATLAB experience

Simulink, State flow experience a plus

3D-CAD applications such as ProE is a plus, not required

Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma trained or certified a plus, not required

You will be Responsible for

Provide guidance and leadership to designers, lab technicians and other team members.

Administer appropriate agency and regulatory approval processes.

Develop and/or update electrical purchased part engineering drawings and standards.

Define, identify and complete appropriate qualification testing activities.

Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects.

Achieve scheduled milestones for assigned projects.

Coordinate the activities of other engineers or technicians assigned to the project.

Provide engineering support to product planning and/or technical support teams.
