Security Mapping Specialist

Our client, a well-known entertainment company, is looking for a Security Mapping Specialist to join their team for a 6-month contract. This position will be hybrid and based out of the Burbank office. The Global Security Communications Center (GSCC) is like a safety hub, working round the clock to monitor security systems and handle emergencies. The Security Mapping Specialist's job is to carefully plot all of the company's assets on a map, so they can quickly respond to any incidents. They're also part of the Travel Safety Program, mapping out locations and trips to keep people safe from things like protests, bad weather, or COVID-19 restrictions. Responsibilities include plotting assets, keeping data up-to-date, helping with presentations, and assisting supervisors and managers.

Pay Rate: $21-$26/hour DOE

Responsibilities:

Plot all assets (worldwide) into department mapping tool

Ensure all assets are current by cross-checking against weekly lists provided by business partners from across the enterprise

Assist in briefing internal and external partners on the mapping capabilities of the GSCC

Apply and utilize smart mapping tools/styles for visually stunning presentations

Use intuitive analysis data tools to add valuable context by combining it with existing demographic and lifestyle data

Assist with data management and entry

Assist GSCC Supervisors and Managers with administrative tasks

Required Qualifications:

1-3 years exp

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites

Experience using ArcGIS

Specialized knowledge in: VBA (Excel), Python, Power Automate

Preferred knowledge in: JavaScript, Arcade, Everbridge, SmartSheet, Dataminr, Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
