We are seeking an experienced Banquet, Catering and Sales Manager for a well-known restaurant in Baton Rouge!

The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Banquet and Catering functions. They will solicit Banquets and Catering business and assist and coordinate with clients on everything they will need for their event. This will include planning programs and selecting menus. Individuals will work with clients from the beginning of their event until the end, building relationships and networking along the way. The salary for this role will start in the $45,000-$55,000 range, depending on experience. A full benefits package is offered!

Duties of the Catering Sales Manager:

Responsible in achieving Catering and Banquet sales objectives and revenue goals within areas of responsibility

Solicit business with current and potential clients

Meet with clients to discuss their needs and requirements, planning menus

Develop promotional events to market catering operations to individuals and organizations

Maintain accurate and complete sales operational and transaction records

Keeping staff motivated to provide the highest standard of service

Organizing shifts and rotations with banquet department

Managing stock control financial planning and managing budgets

Meeting with suppliers and customers

Discussing contract requirements with customers

Requirements of the Catering Sales Manager:

3+ years of catering sales experience preferred.

Candidate must be an excellent leader and a good communicator who is focused on customer service

Must be experienced with building rapport with clients, developing solid business connections and coordinating events

Must have an excellent track record of success in hospitality business development, banquet and catering sales and hotel marketing

Qualified candidates will be highly organized and able to deal effectively with large volumes of work

Must be able to lead and adapt quickly to new business development strategies
