We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join our Full-Time Engagement Professional team (salary & benefits)! The FTEP Team consists of HR Professionals who have chosen to do consulting and contract roles as a career. The client projects you will be deployed on directly impact each company's success! The ideal candidate will have a wide variety of HR experience and skills to be able to work with Robert Half's diverse Bay Area Clients to complete meaningful HR projects while being in a full-time job!

The HR Generalist will need to be willing to work on-site up to 5 days a week in San Francisco and/or the East Bay area, depending on where each client is located. The projects may range from daily operational HR duties and benefits administration to assisting with system implementations, strategic consulting, M&A work, or supporting process improvement and ensuring HR compliance.

Ideal skill sets include:

Managing the employee life-cycle – from processing new hires, conducting new hire orientations and open enrollments, to conducting interviews and processing terminations

Company policy and procedure adherence - Staying up to date on CA Labor Law, updating employee handbook as needed

Initiating and tracking Leaves of Absence (FMLA, PFL, CFRA, PLA, and state leave laws)

Employee Relations - experience handling ER issues from end to end, conducting interviews and investigations, reporting recommendations for resolution and/or disciplinary steps

Performance reviews, coach managers on proper performance management meetings and create effective company surveys

Administration of health benefits - Being the point of contact for employee questions, eligibility verifications, and audit employee data in HRIS

Employee communication and recognition programs

Payroll experience is a plus

HRIS System implementation experience a plus

Project Management experience a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area preferred

5+ years' of experience working in Human Resources (minimum 3+ years at the Generalist level or above)

Ability to adapt to various company cultures, and environments and work with both large and small HR teams

Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Must be able to interview well and articulate one's HR experience well

HR Certification - Preferred

Strong experience with multiple HRIS

MUST be willing to commute and work on-site 5 days a week
