Freedom Boat Club offers a unique, fast-paced work environment devoted to creating a fun and memorable atmosphere for our members. We are seeking Seasonal (Full-time hours during season) Dock Managers from March through November to manage some of our locations. The position ends in November. If you like working outside, being around boats, have great customer service skills, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the job for you!
Starting pay is $18.00+ USD per hour depending on experience and location, plus attractive part-time benefits:

Primary Responsibilities
Oversee all dock operations including staff, boats, and surrounding areas
Train dock staff to use proper procedures for cleaning, safety, and ensure all best practices are followed by the team to provide consistent "Red Carpet" treatment of our members
Create weekly and bi-weekly staffing schedules to create a positive member experience
Monitor staff performance throughout the work process
Perform the same work duties as those supervised and some more difficult/skilled tasks
Maintain supply inventory and track usage
Maintain appearance of boats, docks, facilities, and equipment
Assist members with boarding/disembarking boats, casting off/securing lines
Complete thorough boat inspections to isolate damage
Correspond with members on all dock-related issues including but not limited to complaints, fuel disputes, vessel damages, and miscellaneous dock charges
Maintain accurate records in the reservation system, fill out incident reports, and oversee and handle member questions/concerns
May be asked to assist with other duties to ensure that operations run smooth
Become familiar with local waterways and popular boating destinations surrounding your club
Monitor weather and communicate with members, staff, and management about hazardous conditions
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must 21 years old or older
Pass a background check and drug screening
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
High school education or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred)
Boating experience/ Captain’s License Preferred
Management/Supervisor experience required
Preferred Skills
Strong Customer Service and management skills
Comfort around water
Should have intuitive problem-solving skills
Required Physical Abilities
Transferring between boat and dock repeatedly
Working outside in all weather conditions
Maneuvering in tight spaces
Standing and/or kneeling for prolonged intervals
Bending, balancing, and occasionally carrying equipment up to 50 lbs
