Environmental Engineer

Allied Resources is looking for a Environmental Engineer who will be responsible for the implementation of environmental programs in accordance with governmental requirements. This is a full-time direct-hire opportunity located in Greater Richmond, VA that offers a competitive base salary up to $140k/yr. plus full comprehensive health benefits packages, PTO package, employee programs, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with environmental personnel at both site and regional levels, alongside operations, maintenance, and engineering leadership, to seamlessly integrate environmental standards into plant-level protocols.

Review and analyze environmental documentation issued by regulatory agencies.

Determine impact on operations, and publish compliance strategies and requirements.

Engage with regulatory authorities to address compliance concerns, establish permit prerequisites, and provide support during regulatory inspections.

Develop environmental management systems to facilitate an increase in understanding and accountability to ensure compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience required.

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent field required.

Must have an uncompromising drive for compliance and willingness to escalate issues as needed.

Experience working with Environmental Management Systems.
