Financial Analyst

Join our team as a Financial Analyst and play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. Your primary focus will be on supporting our integrated financial system, with a strong emphasis on gross margin analysis, costing, and ensuring inventory accuracy. Here's what you'll be doing:

*FULLY ON-SITE IN FREDERICKSBURG, VA*

Key Responsibilities:

Generate reports and forecasts using financial data, including month-end financial reports.

Analyze current and historical financial data to provide insights into business performance.

Stay updated on business and economic trends to inform decision-making.

Conduct thorough margin analysis and product line profitability assessments.

Produce matrix reports and develop financial models to aid organizational decision-making.

Assist in evaluating capital expenditures and depreciation.

Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for enhanced data utilization.

Facilitate financial audits by providing necessary information and managing sales tax systems for state compliance.

Compare actual costs to budgeted costs and analyze variances.

Establish internal control policies and procedures for cost accounting activities.

Conduct physical inventory control and reporting, including cycle counts.

Reconcile general ledger accounts, focusing on sales, costs, inventory, and liabilities.

Execute gross margin analysis and deliver comprehensive reports.

Assist in both internal and external audits.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Cost Accounting, or Controller roles, preferably within the Manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with tax preparation and accounting software.
