Report Developer

Come join a longstanding software/SaaS organization in need to hire an experienced Reporting/Business Intelligence Developer to create reports for their new data-centric software platform.

This is a brand new role, will report in through development and the person can come from really any type of reporting background - Qlik, SSRS, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

Best yet, you would work primarily remote and only need to come into the office a couple of times PER YEAR!

This person will help to design and built reports in a modern way for their new client-accessed system, so someone with a design eye to create attractive, functional and easily readable reports is a plus.

General SQL background is helpful for querying data

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).

Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to gather report requirements and ensure reports meet business needs.

Optimize report performance and data accuracy.

Develop and maintain data models and data visualizations.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with reports and data.

Stay current with industry trends and best practices in reporting and data visualization.

Provide technical support and training to users on report usage and best practices.

Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Report Developer or similar role.

Proficiency in one or more reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS).

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

Experience with data modeling and data visualization best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills (preferred but not required):

Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

Familiarity with programming languages such as, Python, R for data analysis.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for data storage and processing.
