Senior Software Security Engineer

This position requires an experienced software security engineer who specializes in IoT devices and AWS Cloud technologies to join the Venstar Cloud Engineering Team. You will be responsible of the efforts to develop and enhance the connect software for the current and future cloud connected Venstar devices and products.

Knowledge and Skills:

level understanding of perimeter security controls, endpoint controls, and cloud environment controls.

knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

of standards (SoC2, ISO27001, GDPR, CMMC, etc.)

knowledge and implementation experience of standards established in the recent past, including NIST and international standards.

experience designing security controls environment that maps to industry frameworks.

in reviewing, verifying, and validating the software code developed in cloud native projects with evidence of adhering to industry standard security principles.

in identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.

understanding of cloud application design processes.

understanding of RESTful APIs and interfacing with API endpoints.

grasp of fundamental computer science concepts, good at solving complex technical problems, and using common design patterns.

Ability to meet the company’s high standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.

Experience:

10 + years working in cybersecurity related disciplines

Education:

Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering

Compensation: 105,000 -- 145,000K +
