Devgiri is seeking a new Associate Textile Designer to add to a growing home textile product development & design team. The position will focus on the window curtain category reporting to the Senior Window Curtain Designer. The Associate Textile Designer- will work very closely with the window curtain design team, the sales & merchandising teams and the sampling units in India. The job roles involve a mix of independent projects and support projects.

Responsibilities

· CAD and fabric development for the window curtain category

· Research trend, design and color in the Window Curtain category for trends and customer projects

· Create color palettes working with the senior team

· Meet with sales team to review customer projects. Provide design and other meeting materials as required

· Keep up to date on Window Curtain retail and US/international color, design and sales trends

· Communicate with overseas PD team for the design and product development of new designs and products

· Maintain fabric construction libraries and product swatches

· Support showroom set-up for US markets.

Qualifications

· Prior experience of 2-3 years as home textile or textile designer

· Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design

· In depth understanding of textile jacquard and dobby construction and manufacturing textiles for weaving and printing processes

· 1-2 years working directly with overseas factories

· Candidate must be proactive, resourceful and efficient with good organization skills

· Keen sense of urgency, initiative and motivation

· Professional verbal and written communication skills

· Able to take direction and work in a collaborative team environment

· Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

· Must be located in the Atlanta area or willing to relocate

· Open to international and domestic travel. Travel will be determined by previous experience and growth in the position.

The position is based in Atlanta and the design office is located downtown Atlanta.

Hybrid schedule- 3 days/week in Atlanta office. 2 weeks a year for remote working.
