Litigation Associate

Sherman Atlas Sylvester & Stamelman is seeking an experienced 2nd - 5th year litigation associate to join our commercial litigation practice group. Our firm’s litigation group represents banking and financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, closely-held businesses and individuals in complex litigation in state and federal courts. The successful candidate will have the following credentials:

· Admitted in New Jersey and New York

· 2-5 years of litigation experience

· Experience drafting pleadings, motions and other papers in litigations and arbitrations

· Experience taking and defending depositions

· Experience appearing in court and other forums for motions and/or trials

· Ability to manage a workload of multiple clients and competing deadlines

· Commitment to exceeding client needs/expectations in an effective manner

· Experience communicating orally and in writing with clients, experts,

witnesses, opposing counsel and judges

· Excellent analytical ability and writing skills
