Primary Function: The HR Generalist is responsible for, but not limited to, supporting the company by implementing HR processes, guidance and procedures by providing HR services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, new hire onboarding, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions.Also develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist HR Director with the completion of ongoing tasks relating to company practices, procedures, hiring/terminations, benefits and other related HR issues.

Assist in resolving payroll, insurance, benefits, FMLA, Termination, Cobra, 401K, etc… issues, requests and questions from company employees.

Direct HR contact for BRCC and WDR related issues and concerns.

Completion of Benefit enrollment/changes for new and existing employees.

New Hire orientation and file generation/completion with attention to federal and state guidelines and compliance.

Assist in all other employee HR related questions, concerns, issues and objections.

Additional Responsibilities:

Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.

Recruitment for Low-Mid Level, non-union, employees when needed.

Research and review all new hire paperwork, benefit invoices, reporting and communication for the HR dept.

Other administrative tasks as assigned.

Required Skill/Knowledge:

2-3 years of HR or Recruitment experience.

Proficient with Microsoft office products, ie: excel, word outlook.

Education Level / Required Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Communication or 2-3 years of equivalent experience.

Additional Information:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear working within standard office environment; regular exposure to video terminal displays; prolonged periods of sitting at desk. Proof of valid Driver’s License and insurance required.Ability to lift up to 30lbs. Working in a busy, small office environment that may require additional duties.
