Virtual Case Manager

Reunification Case Manager Needed to work with Children and Families within HHS' Care and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)

Place of Performance: work will be 100% remote with occasional travel.

Schedule: Schedules will vary depending on which region you are assigned to and will be determined by your program manager.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a behavior science field

Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience

Clean criminal background check

Must be able to pass a Child Abuse/Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check with no adverse findings.

Experience working with Unaccompanied Children (preferred)

Must be willing to travel for up to site locations within the U.S. throughout the contract for up to 60 days at a time.

Bilingual, Spanish-speaking (required)

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Provide oversight for all Unification Specialists and ensure adherence to ORR policies and procedures

Coordinate case management and family reunification services for UC

Initiate and maintain direct contact with each UC and the UC’s family while the child is in ORR care to efficiently advance the child’s family reunification and safe release from the facility

In conjunction with program staff, communicate reunification updates to the UC

Participate in case staffing’s with the program and field as needed to discuss reunification progress

Facilitate the timely release or discharge of children to identified family members or authorized caregiver/custodian and document the provision of services in each UC’s case file

Report significant incidents in accordance with ORR policies and procedures

Maintain the UC case file and UC Portal in accordance with ORR policies and procedures
