Commercial Delivery Driver Class A and B

Job Description

We are looking for Class A and B drivers for loading, transporting, and delivering produce to clients in a safe and timely manner. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for driving a truck for the purpose of delivering, unloading and pickup various products for our customers.

· Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-50 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand cart; constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, and retrieving items from trailer..

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Daylight Foods policies and procedures.

· Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required.

· Must be able to follow California labor code 512(a) related lunches and break policy and House of Services (HOS)

· Good attendance and adherence to work schedule (early morning start time), working on weekend.

· Other duties s assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES:

· Must be able to perform all job functions safely

· Excellent customer service skills a must

· Must be able to operate manual Commercial vehicle

· Must be able to work schedule dispatch/assigned times

· Experience using manual/ electronic DOT log sheets

· Conducting Safety Inspections Pre/Post Trip Inspections

· Good understanding of DOT Rules and Regulations

· Able to lift up to 50lbs

· Route --Multi stop experience

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Education/Training: Must have at least 1 yr commercial driving experience and clean Motor Vehicle Report. Must be able to read, write, and communicate English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.

· Must have a valid CDL and DOT Medical Card
