Palmdale currently operates in more than 50 counties across Florida and provides a wide range of tailored commercial fuel and lubricant solutions to customers in the agricultural, industrial, construction, marine, and government sectors. Operating out of 15 locations statewide, the company is a leader in the industry in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, commercial and industrial lubricants, and chemicals that are used across a diverse set of end markets.

We have an immediate Day Shift Transfer Truck Driver opening in Tampa for a CDL Class A with X Endorsement and TWIC card. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid background in driving and a desire to work for a fast-paced, corporate organization. In addition to exceptional customer service skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves" attitude.

The responsibilities of the Class A CDL Route Driver position include:

•Deliver package/bulk to various locations daily

•Pick up material from plants

•Assist with loading and unloading trucks

•Assist the warehouse when needed

•Load and unload incoming freight

•Operates a 53’ tractor-trailer truck as directed that transports between the facility and multiple destinations. Typical routes are within a 100-mile radius of the home terminal

•Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick-up

•Maintains telephone contact with home terminal/dispatch center to receive delivery instructions or notices of changes in route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.

•Maintains a log of travel in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company needs.

•Responsible for daily inspection of vehicle (pre-post trip), ensuring proper function of all safety related features of the vehicle at all times, including refueling as needed.

Job Requirements

The required skills for the Class A CDL Route Driver are:

Class A CDL with Haz-Mat “X” Endorsement

Must possess a TWIC card

Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience

Must be licensed to operate the assigned vehicle

Able to Lift 100 pounds

Available for overtime as required to meet business needs within the appropriate State/Federal regulations, plus rotating Saturdays as needed

Travel in the Fort Myers area and surrounding regions

Exceptional Customer Service Skills

Positive and Professional Demeanor

Outstanding Safety Record

Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations

Must be able to meet all DOT/Federal and State Requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles

Must maintain a clean presentation of the driver and vehicle
