Superintendent

Job Description

We have been retained by our client, a growing Commercial General Contractor in the Houston, TX area, to find a Superintendent. This role entails supervising all onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting project management tasks.

Duties:

Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, including a master schedule that integrates all critical construction activities and sequences.

Oversee daily site operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure quality control, safety measures, and compliance with construction standards.

Lead safety initiatives on-site, conducting regular inspections, safety meetings, and compliance reporting to maintain a secure working environment.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, record drawings, and compliance forms to ensure project accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Facilitate and lead regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure project continuity, adherence to schedule, and resolution of potential conflicts.

Requirements:

5+ years of construction experience with a proven track record in managing large scale projects

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and manage a diverse team effectively.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Passionate about construction with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to foster relationships with owners and subcontractors.
