Steadily is an insurance technology company that specializes in rental property insurance for landlords. We’re three years old, just over 100 people, manage $6B in risk, and are intent on becoming the world’s best and largest insurer of rental properties.

We exist to deliver fast, affordable insurance and to pay claims quickly and fairly. To do that, we hire the best engineers, actuaries, sales, and service people in the country to build the experience that we’d want if we were the client.

As our HR Generalist, this isn’t going to be your traditional HR role … we all wear a lot of hats, so you’ll have ownership of onboarding, benefits, IT, licensing, and general office management. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

What You'll Do

One of your jobs is to manage HR compliance including performance management, termination preparation, FMLA administration, time off, addressing employee and manager inquiries, and other HR items to keep the team running smoothly.

You own onboarding and offboarding. When a team member is hired, you will configure their laptops and set up all of their credentials so they’re ready to go on their first day

You will be responsible for getting new hires set up on benefits as well as negotiating our benefits coverage at renewal and coordinating open enrollment.

You will be resident IT support, configuring laptops to be sent out and troubleshooting issues that might arise.

You own licensing management for all of our licensed individuals. You will develop systems to stay on top of Continuing Ed and renewal dates so that nothing ever gets missed.

You will own general office management functions that will keep the office humming.

Your Background

Experienced: You’ve had two years of HR experience with a focus on performance management, benefits administration, compensation, and compliance. SHRM or other HR certification preferred.

Culture Advocate: You love Steadily’s culture and you understand the role of HR in supporting Steadily’s culture of excellence.

Knowledge: You have a strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws across the country or you know how to find accurate information quickly.

Digital: Your tech savvy is exceptional. You are a super user when it comes to computers, software, and technology … you aren’t in the least bit intimidated at the idea of having to play IT support. What’s more, you’re fast and efficient.

Judgment: You have been exposed to lots of sensitive information in prior roles and you’ve proven that you can maintain confidentiality in the workplace.

Organized: You are highly organized. Even in a fast paced environment with lots of moving parts, you’ve developed proven systems in your career so you don’t miss a thing.

Hungry: You want to make the leap into an earlier-stage tech company to rapidly accelerate your growth. You want to roll up your sleeves and hustle.

Compensation and Benefits

$65,000 annual income + equity in the company
