Job Description

PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICIAN

Location: Valencia, CA

Shift: Day Shift – (8am – 3:30pm)

Pay Range: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs repairs in accordance with safety rules and OSHA requirements.

Diagnoses and maintain malfunctioning apparatus such as main and auxiliary equipment, transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose the malfunction and make required repairs.

Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as electronic boards, relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.

Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards.

Troubleshoot and maintain control systems. This includes all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.

Troubleshoot and repair all AC and DC motors, controls, pressure sensing devices, voltage current, and resistance measurement devices.

Troubleshoot and repair plant lighting circuits; cranes; PLC-based controls and relay logic circuits.

Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Other special duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work with hand tools and EMT and Rigid electric pipe bending.

Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical systems including but not limited to; automated systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs) 3ph power, Transformers, Electric Motors, Rectifiers, Power Supplies, Disconnects, Contactors, etc.

Speak, Read, and Understand English.

Must have Reliable transportation to get to work daily. Any attendance issues in the first 90 days of employment may result in the automatic end of the assignment.

Experience in a fast-paced, production-based warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge of safety rules in typical warehouse/manufacturing/production areas.

Must be able to stand most of the 8-hour work day.

Lifting maximum of 65 lbs.

Requires a flexible work schedule which may include weekends to support the operating schedule and the needs of the facility.

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
